Pere Pou Llompart

was born on Majorca and studied piano, viola and composition at the Conservatory in Palma de Mallorca. Later he studied singing in València and finished his master at the Highschool of Music in Freiburg, Germany. 

He took regular composition-lessons with Carles Guinovart in Barcelona as well as master-classes with Joan Guinjoan, Tomás Marco and Cristóbal Halffter. His compositions have been performed in Palma, Barcelona, Madrid, Budapest, London, Weimar and Frankfurt am Main. 

As a singer he is former member of several ensembles for ancient music in Spain (Studium Aureum on Majorca, Capella de Ministrers from València, Capella Reial de Catalunya wirh Jordi Savall) and also former member of other groups dedicated to contemporary music (Vokalensemble SWF in Freiburg, Ensemble con tempo in Frankfurt). 

He is since 2001 a professional member of the choir at the Opera Frankfurt. Since 2014 he works together with the pianist and composer Martin Schmalz performing their own Lieder-cycles.
